Goals and Objectives...
As a public benefit non-profit project of Inquiring Systems, Inc., OR&CO is providing 4 to 8-year old
girls and boys with the opportunity to:
1. Have fun while
they
experience the power and vitality of their own imaginations;
2. Fully appreciate the value and importance of books, reading and reading aloud;
3. Improve their literacy skills, sharpen their mental acuity, increase their self-esteem,
strengthen their personal understandings and develop a more positive outlook on life.
Clearly, these initiatives are not small of stature, nor limited in scope.

maintain positive relationships and effective social interactions with others are greatly increased.

In each weekly episode of the series, Ocean Rudee, a mythical Lighthouse Keeper, reads aloud to his audience of 4 to 8-year old girls and boys from highly acclaimed children's storybooks. But, truth to tell, he does not just 'read' books. He leads young and old alike on 'Imagination Travelin' adventures, each magically brought to life by the talented ensemble of actors and actresses - the 'Ocean Rudee & Company Players' - who create multi-voiced characterizations, sound effects, original music and related audio enhancements specific to each storyline.
Ocean Rudee lives way out on a windswept seacoast in The Lighthouse with his dog Sandollar, his kitty FableCat and a lively parrot named Chaco. Plus, a number of Ocean Rudee's friends and acquaintances live in a nearby seaside village and whether he's going to Barnacle Babs' fish market for fresh seafood or Koichi Tojima's hardware store for lumber and supplies - there's always time to read his buddies 'another great book' from his Lighthouse Tower Library.
And so it goes, week, after week, after week - one children's storybook at a time...
Who Does What Needs to Get Done for OR&CO?
This past year in Sonoma County, California the Ocean Rudee production and development team (which now includes more than 20 talented individuals) has been hard at work perfecting our craft. Supported by 100's of hours of volunteer labor and pro-bono technical expertise we're now ready to move forward in 2010 on our mission of: 'Inspiring Young Children to Read and Imagine!'
We believe, as Albert Einstein did, that:

What are the Long-term Plans of OR&CO?
The financial game plan we're operating under is pretty straightforward:
1. The current "500 @ $100 Grassroots Fund-raising Campaign" will continue to provide the underwriting capital required to sustain OR&CO's initial momentum into the marketplace; and,
2. Underwriting and/or investment capital resources will then be secured enabling OR&CO's worldwide broadcast premiere to take place as early as Sunday, October 3, 2010 when we will begin:
Many thanks for your support in keeping the OR&CO ship sailing on a straight and steady course.A. Broadcasting a 1/2-hour weekly audio theatre program on radio stations across the country and via the World Wide Web;
B. Streaming digital content 24/7 from our web site (so that you and your children can visit online with Ocean Rudee & Company whenever you'd like); and
C. Producing audio and video/DVD programming content (we call them 'Imagination TravelKits'), that will include interactive multi-media renditions of the children's literature featured on OR&CO's weekly audio theatre broadcasts.
